My Shooting Showreel

Wonders of the Human Body, Channel 5

Last year I was fortunate enough to be Shooting AP for this fantastic science series featuring the late Michael Mosley. I worked across many shoots on this project as a Shooting PD on both 1st and 2nd camera using the Sony FX6. This involved a range of actuality shoots including surgery, sports and scientific research as well as interviews and studio shoots with contributors. A particular highlight was directing the pre-title sequence with Michael and 30 members of the public in busy Glasgow city centre and filming a unique form of open heart surgery.
Our Frozen Planet, BBC Earth
If it’s broke, fix it
International shoot to Amsterdam shooting interviews and actuality on Sony A7S III.
What is climate optimism?
Phoebe interview and broll self-shot on Sony A7S III.
Landward, BBC Scotland
Self-shooting PD, underwater camerawoman and Presenter on this VT for BBC Scotland’s Landward aired in 2021 showcasing the outstanding marine diversity of my local pier. Shot on Sony RX100 III, Fantasea Housing and SUPE PV32T video light and Apeman action camera. I lived next to this pier for almost 5 years and was continuously blown away by the colour and diversity of life I saw, particularly in the Clyde area which has such a strong industrial heritage.
The Regenerators, BBC Bitesize
Self-shot and directed on Sony FS7. During my time as a Shooting Researcher with The Regenerators I developed and shot three short-form films for article “How to become a nature detective“. This piece aimed to develop young people’s connection with the nature, a topic I feel passionately about, through developing naturalist skills like identifying birdsong and wildlife poo.

BBC The Social
My entry point in the world of wildlife TV came from incredible platform BBC The Social! As a Content Creator, I developed, shot, presented and edited my own short films to be released on The Social’s popular social platforms. I used a variety of kit including Canon DSLR, long lense, underwater compact cameras and Go Pros. I released four films in total all focused on the marine wildlife that lived on my doorstep. They racked up hundreds of thousands of views and were later broadcast on the BBC Scotland TV channel.
During the first Covid-19 lockdown I made it my mission to track down the local otters… and I found them!
